Vision
University of Cebu School of Medicine
aims to become a globally recognized academic institution that transforms and provides society with competent and compassionate medical graduates
driven to excel and serve.
Goals
Provide students with the medical knowledge, clinical skills and professional attitude to make them clinically competent as health care provider.
Inculcate in the students the communication skill for a dynamic exchange between a doctor and a patient.
Provide the students with knowledge of scientific research and the analytic skills to elucidate and relate research findings to patient care.
Provide the students with the skill to work with individuals of other professions to maintain a climate of mutual respect, shared values and utilize systems based approach to health care.
Develop in the students the capability to be an integral participant in decision making in the operation of health care system.
Develop in the students’ habits and attitudes that will enable them to engage in lifelong pursuit of mastering their domain of expertise and practice social accountability.
Develop in the students a commitment to carrying out professional responsibilities, adherence to ethical principles and sensitivity to a diverse patient population and love for one’s national heritage.
